Continuing the firm’s long tradition of commitment to civic leadership and engagement in the metropolitan Augusta area, Fulcher Hagler LLP is proud to announce that two of its associates, Scott D. Lewis and Andrew A. Murdison, were recently selected to the 2013-2014 classes of the Leadership Augusta and Leadership Columbia County programs, respectively.
Scott, a member of the firm’s Business and Tax Team since 2008, was selected to Leadership Augusta, an affiliate of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s a great honor — and a great opportunity to build on the success of previous Leadership Augusta classes and contribute to the ongoing development of the Augusta community,” said Scott, who practices in the areas of tax, real estate and business law with an emphasis on corporate transactions and estate planning. “I look forward to meeting the other members of the class and getting started.”
Andrew, a member of the firm’s General Litigation Team since 2010, was named to Leadership Columbia County, a program of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce.
“I am very honored and excited to have been selected for the 2014 class of Leadership Columbia County,” said Andrew, whose practice includes railroad litigation, insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, estate administration disputes, and business and contract disputes. “I look forward to representing the firm in this excellent organization.”
Leadership Augusta and Leadership Columbia County were designed to recognize emerging leaders in their respective areas and to enhance their civic engagement. Every year, each program selects approximately 25 to 30 of the best and brightest individuals in the area to participate in the ten-month program oriented to developing leadership skills, fostering understanding of the major issues facing the region, improving the communications network among leaders of disparate backgrounds and interests, and motivating them to contribute through voluntary participation in civic activities.
