Firm Announces New Partner

Fulcher Hagler LLP is pleased to announce that attorney John E. Price has become a partner in the firm, effective October 1, 2013.  John joined the firm in 2007 and has developed a diverse litigation practice in both federal and state courts.  He has successfully represented individuals, private corporations and government entities in a wide range of matters, including employment discrimination suits, civil rights cases, Federal Employers Liability Act cases and professional malpractice suits.  He is also a member of the firm’s railroad litigation team.

“John is a key member of our litigation team, and we are proud to have him as a partner,” said Jim Purcell, a longtime partner with the firm.  “He has provided excellent service to our clients, and this is a testament to his hard work and his proven legal skills.”

John is admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts, including the Supreme Court of Georgia, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Georgia.  He is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.  He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.

John graduated from the University of North Carolina with distinction in 2001.  After earning his Juris Doctor from the College of William & Mary in 2004, John and his wife, Sara, moved to Augusta.  Prior to joining the firm, ,John served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable W. Leon Barfield, United States Magistrate Judge, from 2004 to 2006; for the Honorable Dudley H. Bowen, Jr., United States District Judge, from 2006 to 2007; and for the Honorable Lisa Godbey Wood, United States District Judge, in 2007.  After completing his clerkships, John joined the firm as an associate in September 2007.

John serves on the Board of Directors for Golden Harvest Food Bank and is an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Augusta, where he serves as a deacon.
