Fulcher Hagler LLP Associate Steven L. Sanders has been selected by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Augusta Magazine as one of the Augusta area’s 2014 Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch.

The award, in its fifth year, is designed to showcase the area’s “rising professional stars” between the ages of 25 and 35 who demonstrate the potential to positively influence the community in the next ten years.  The 2014 Top 10 will be honored at the Augusta Metro Chamber’s economic luncheon in June and will have entries submitted on their behalf to  Georgia Trend magazine’s 40 Under 40 competition.

Steve joined Fulcher Hagler LLP in September 2011 and concentrates his law practice on estate planning, probate matters, tax law, business organizations, and real estate.  In addition to a busy practice and a young family, he is pursuing a Master of Laws in Taxation through Boston University, which he expects to receive in 2015.  According to Robert C. Hagler, a senior partner with the firm, “Steve has a flair for untangling complex situations, interpreting laws with obscure meanings and planning for future events.  After careful consideration, he provides thoughtful insight and solutions to clients, always with their goals in mind.  Based on my observations and client comments, I expect for Steve to be a “go to” guy in the Augusta area for estate, business, and tax planning in the near future”.

Steve has also become quite involved in the community.  He is a member of the Augusta Estate Planning Council, the Downtown Kiwanis Club of Augusta, the Young Professionals of Augusta, the Augusta Bar Association, the Young Lawyers of Augusta, the Young Republicans of Augusta, the Morris Museum of Art, and Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, where he serves as a Deacon and a member of the Outreach Committee.  Steve also serves as Treasurer for the Friends of the Augusta Library and as a member of the Augusta Bar Association’s annual golf tournament committee.
